Honkai: Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta Sign-Ups Open Ahead of 25 November Test

HoYoverse’s upcoming open-world creature-collecting adventure is preparing for another major test, introducing new characters, expanded exploration and a competitive battle mode.

Fans of HoYoverse have another opportunity to get an early look at the studio’s next adventure, as Honkai: Nexus Anima has officially opened recruitment for its Final Closed Beta.

The upcoming test begins on 25 November 2026 across PC, Android and iOS, giving selected players the chance to explore new content ahead of the game’s planned launch in spring 2027.

Players can now register for the Final Closed Beta through the official Honkai: Nexus Anima website, although places are limited and completing the application does not guarantee access.

The latest test promises a more extensive look at the game’s world, introducing fresh story content, new Anima companions, additional exploration areas and improvements to several gameplay systems.

A Bigger World to Explore

In Honkai: Nexus Anima, players take on the role of an Animaster, embarking on an adventure alongside mysterious creatures known as Anima.

The journey begins in the town of Iia, a colourful location filled with characters, hidden stories and places waiting to be explored.

For the Final Closed Beta, HoYoverse is expanding the available content considerably, giving players access to new areas and encounters.

Among the locations being introduced are a traditional bank, a modern high-rise office building and a scenic lighthouse island.

Players will also encounter additional characters throughout their travels, including potential allies and rivals with their own backgrounds and motivations.

Exploration is becoming more personal, too.

The updated test allows players to return to their own recreational vehicle whenever they need a break from adventuring. They’ll also be able to build habitats for their Anima companions throughout the world.

More Anima to Discover and Befriend

Collecting creatures remains one of the central elements of Honkai: Nexus Anima, and the upcoming beta introduces further variety to the creatures players can encounter.

New juvenile Anima will be available, allowing players to experience their companions’ development as they grow stronger throughout the adventure.

Special Chromatic forms will also appear during exploration, offering additional discoveries for dedicated collectors.

HoYoverse is expanding the ways players can interact with their creatures beyond combat.

New animations and interactions will allow players to hold hands with their Anima, hug them and even be lifted into the air by larger companions.

These additions aim to make the relationship between players and their creatures feel more meaningful, giving them a greater role in everyday exploration.

Changes to the Eidos and Anima Systems

One of the more significant changes arriving in the Final Closed Beta concerns the game’s character and creature acquisition systems.

HoYoverse has announced adjustments to both the Eidos Event Bond and Anima Event Bond mechanics.

During the test, the first five-star Eidos or Anima obtained through the corresponding event system will be guaranteed to be the currently featured limited selection.

Players who obtain the featured limited Eidos will also be able to claim its matching Anima companion for free.

These changes are designed to make acquiring featured characters and companions more predictable, although HoYoverse has not confirmed whether the exact arrangements will carry over unchanged to the final release.

Nexus Arena Introduces Competitive Battles

The Final Closed Beta also introduces Nexus Arena, a new competitive mode that allows players to test their team-building strategies against other participants.

Players can assemble their preferred lineup of Anima before being matched against opponents, with the opportunity to compete for higher rankings.

The addition provides another use for collected companions, encouraging players to experiment with different combinations and battle strategies.

Outside the arena, players can expect tougher enemies throughout the open world and existing challenge stages.

These adjustments should provide a greater test of players’ combat abilities as they progress through the expanded adventure.

How to Join the Honkai: Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta

The Honkai: Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta begins on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, with testing available on PC, Android and iOS.

To apply, players must complete the recruitment questionnaire on the game’s official website.

HoYoverse will select a limited number of participants, with successful applicants receiving information through the eligibility checker, email, SMS or other official communication channels.

Importantly, all progress made during the beta will be wiped once testing ends, meaning characters, collected Anima and other progression will not carry over.

The developer has yet to confirm the full testing schedule.

Honkai: Nexus Anima Targets Spring 2027 Release

Alongside the beta announcement, HoYoverse has confirmed that Honkai: Nexus Anima is scheduled for release in spring 2027, with PC, Android and iOS among the planned platforms.

Pre-registration is already available through Apple’s App Store, while further launch details are expected closer to release.

Players interested in seeing more of the game can watch the latest official trailer, alongside an extended gameplay demonstration showcasing its world and mechanics.

With expanded exploration, new creature interactions and competitive battles, the Final Closed Beta looks set to provide the clearest picture yet of what HoYoverse has planned for its next creature-collecting adventure.
