A World of Keflings Returns with New ‘Which Witch’ DLC on 6 November

A World of Keflings Returns with New ‘Which Witch’ DLC on 6 November

More than a decade after its original Xbox 360 adventures, A World of Keflings is preparing to welcome players into an entirely new story. Developer NinjaBee has announced Which Witch, a brand-new expansion launching exclusively on Steam on 6 November 2026.

The upcoming DLC marks the first completely new story content for the charming city-building game since its original expansions arrived in 2012, introducing a fresh setting, familiar faces and a branching narrative where players’ decisions shape the future of an entire kingdom.

Two Witches, One Kingdom, Your Decisions

The adventure takes players to the Fungus Kingdom, where two witch sisters, Bethtilda and Gertigail, are competing to become mayor.

For the first time in the series, major quests feature two possible endings, allowing players to decide how events unfold and which characters to support.

Each witch has her own ideas about how the kingdom should be run, but the ultimate decision rests with the player.

From dismantling robots for their gears to delivering shipments of romance novels, the choices made throughout the campaign will influence the kingdom’s inhabitants and its future.

It’s a new direction for the series, adding a greater emphasis on player choice to its familiar building and resource-management gameplay.

Familiar Faces Return for Another Adventure

Long-time Keflings fans can also look forward to reuniting with several characters from the original game and its previous expansions.

The King Without a Castle, Kris the builder and Ratbeard the merchant are among those returning, each with new stories to share.

Players will discover what these familiar faces have been doing since their previous adventures while helping them tackle fresh challenges across the Fungus Kingdom.

Build, Explore and Play Together

Despite the new story mechanics, Which Witch retains the gameplay that helped make A World of Keflings a favourite among fans of relaxed city-building games.

Players will gather resources, construct buildings, unlock blueprints and assign jobs to their Kefling workers as they gradually transform the Fungus Kingdom into a thriving settlement.

The familiar technology tree also makes a return, allowing players to unlock new structures and expand their creations as they progress.

Those who prefer building alongside friends won’t be left out, either. The game supports online cooperative multiplayer for up to eight players, while those looking for a more relaxed experience can enjoy the story on their own.

A New Chapter for a Classic Xbox Favourite

Originally released on Xbox 360 in 2010, A World of Keflings developed a following thanks to its colourful presentation, light-hearted humour and approachable take on city building.

The game later made its way to Steam, with its previous expansions also receiving updated PC releases.

Which Witch continues that revival by offering something entirely new rather than simply revisiting older content.

For returning fans, it’s an opportunity to revisit a familiar world with new characters, quests and decisions. Newcomers, meanwhile, can experience the series’ distinctive blend of creativity and accessible strategy.

When Is A World of Keflings: Which Witch Released?

A World of Keflings: Which Witch launches on Friday, 6 November 2026, exclusively for PC via Steam.

The DLC requires the base game, A World of Keflings, to play. Players can already add the expansion to their Steam wishlist ahead of release, while newcomers can try a free demo of the original game before purchasing.

NinjaBee has also released an official announcement trailer, offering players a closer look at the new Fungus Kingdom and the adventures awaiting them.

With branching quests and a whole new kingdom to build, Which Witch looks set to give Keflings fans another reason to return to this cosy city-building adventure.
