Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE Launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

Netmarble’s action RPG makes its console debut, bringing Sung Jinwoo’s journey to PlayStation and Xbox with intense combat, extensive character customisation and cooperative boss battles.

Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, giving console players their first opportunity to experience Netmarble’s action RPG following its PC release in November 2025.

The game officially launched at midnight UK time on 4 November 2026, with both Standard and Deluxe Editions available digitally through their respective console storefronts.

To celebrate the release, Netmarble has also unveiled a new launch trailer showcasing the game’s combat and characters.

Become the Ultimate Monarch of Shadows

Based on the hugely successful Korean webtoon Solo Leveling, ARISE OVERDRIVE follows Sung Jinwoo, a hunter who begins his journey at the lowest rank before gradually becoming one of the most powerful figures in his world.

Players will experience his transformation from an E-Rank hunter into the formidable Monarch of Shadows, battling increasingly dangerous enemies and unlocking devastating supernatural abilities along the way.

Rather than simply recreating the original story, the game also features new adventures developed specifically for this adaptation.

Fast-Paced Combat and Powerful Abilities

Combat sits at the centre of the ARISE OVERDRIVE experience, combining spectacular animated attacks with a progression system that allows players to develop their preferred fighting style.

Players can experiment with different weapons, abilities and skill combinations to create powerful combat strategies.

Defensive techniques are equally important, with dodging and perfectly timed parries offering opportunities to counterattack during encounters.

As Sung Jinwoo grows stronger, players can unlock additional skills and explore his Monarch abilities, allowing them to unleash increasingly powerful attacks against challenging opponents.

The game also features weapon crafting, giving players the opportunity to collect materials and create equipment inspired by the original webtoon.

Team Up for Four-Player Boss Battles

Although Sung Jinwoo’s journey remains central to the experience, players won’t have to face every challenge alone.

ARISE OVERDRIVE supports cooperative raids for up to four players, allowing friends to join forces against powerful bosses.

These encounters encourage players to combine different skills and tactics as they work together to overcome difficult battles.

For those who prefer a single-player experience, the main adventure can also be enjoyed independently.

Standard and Deluxe Editions Available

Players can choose between two digital editions of Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE.

The Standard Edition includes the complete base game, while the Deluxe Edition adds several bonus items, including:

  • An exclusive Sung Jinwoo costume
  • A Cha Hae-In emoji set
  • Additional cosmetic and in-game bonus items

On the UK PlayStation Store, the Standard Edition is listed at £32.99, while the Deluxe Edition is priced at £36.99. Xbox pricing may differ.
